Did you wonder where we were? Well, we are where we have always been and we've been doing fun stuff, BUT we no longer have a laptop and......well, I guess I've just gotten lazy. Sitting at the desktop computer is HARD! But today, today I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it for you! Because I know you are wondering how we are.
So here goes.
We spent some time at the park this afternoon. The baby LOVED it. She's not walking yet but that didn't stop her from crawling ALL OVER the park. She tried to eat some wood chips, tried to get in on a game of basketball, sat in the middle of the sidewalk and forced kids to stop riding their bikes. She also went down the slide on her belly all by herself.
After the park I sat down at the computer and noticed some firemen walking up to the fire hydrant across the street from our house.
Then I noticed that my boys were watching the firemen so I went outside to get some picture of the boys. By the time I got over there the boys had crossed the street and the firemen were letting J open the hydrant. I accidentally turned the camera off instead of taking a picture. oops. So here is J right after he pushed the big wrench and the water started gushing out.
Then they opened it even more and let the water flow for a while. See how brown it is. They hydrant system uses secondary/irrigation water and it gets really silty. So they come through a couple times a year and try to clean out the built up dirt. The boys were in heaven.
What else have we been up to. Everything! We lead lives of awesomeness. So.....Here's what the last 3 months of our lives have been like.
CHRISTMAS CAME!!!!!! IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED.
All was well in the world for 2 or 3 weeks and then B started asking "Mom, when is it going to be Christmas
The construction defect law suit that our neighborhood has been a part of for the past 8 or 9 years finally was settled last year, and recently some repairs were made to the stucco on our home. A lot of the problems had to do with the window boxes. Soooooooo, we said bye bye to the window box.
It took about an hour for them to remove the box from the house and remove the stucco around and below it to make sure that there wasn't any wet or rotten wood. We were lucky, ours looked really good. A few of our neighbors were not so lucky and some pretty large parts of the front of their homes had to have the plywood replaced.
Then they replaced the stucco. I'm hoping when they paint they paint over the iron stains along the bottom of the wall. That would be very nice! If they don't, I will probably start looking for iron removing cleaners.
The little lady, known by oh so many names, Princess Cupcake, the baby, Little E to name a few, has discovered that she LOVES to take baths, AND her hair is getting long enough that Mommy loves to make cute little hairstyles while her hair is being washed.
Princess Cupcake also enjoys helping to unload the dishwasher.
Mostly we've just been enjoying life. The kids are wonderful, whiny at times but for the most part they love each other and they love their parents lots and lots, which is good because Ken and I love them with all our hearts.
And there you go! That's the update......and I guess now I will have to goal to update and share my thoughts and feelings a little bit more often than every 3 or 4 months.
